2008 MCHS Varsity Softball Poster

Published by under helicopter,softball

For those of you who won’t get to see an actual poster, you can click on the photo below to see a digital version.

Our very special THANKS to the Charlottesville Flight Center for providing the helicopter and pilot Mark Huntley for doing the flying. I would think it’s probably the first time a helicopter has ever landed on Waverly Yowell field. Thanks also go out to Allan F. Clark Construction for covering the cost of printing the poster.

MCHS Varsity Baseball vs Fluvanna

Published by under baseball,fluvanna

I couldn’t stay very long tonight, had to be in Orange at 8pm, but Madison was doing well while I was there….lots of hitting going on, and a couple of nice bunts to move base runners around.  Good stuff!! You can click on one of the pictures below to go to the gallery of images.

VA Basketball State Championships

Published by under basketball,State Championships

Below are links to a short slideshow of photos from each of Saturday’s State Tournament Basketball games. It would have been nice if Madison had been there, but it was fun going to the Tournament and not really caring who won or lost, but just photograph the games. So, click on the links to see the photos. There’s some action in there, but also lots of emotion. Being second in the state just isn’t quite as much fun as being first!

MORcast LIVE from the Siegel Center, VA State Basketball Championships

Published by under basketball,morcast

morcast.tv is live tonight and tomorrow from the Siegel Center in
Richmond, VA to announce the VHSL State Boys Basketball Finals.

For more info and to tune in, check us out here:

http://www.morcast.tv

Mark Outten and a student at Madison County High School are putting this together. They’re planning to grow this state wide to cover high school sports of all kinds this spring and years to come.

Turn it on tonight and turn the volume down on the ACC, SEC or Big
East game you might be watching. Help us out – we need numbers to
sell ads in the future.

Pass this along to anyone you know!

I plan to be there tomorrow (Saturday) and post photos from some of the games (barring any technical difficulties). Personally, I hope the George Mason girls and Buckingham boys go all the way! Both of those teams play semi-final games this afternoon, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they’ll make it to the finals. Visit the MORcast website. Mark has links to some cool stuff!!
