MCHS Girls Basketball vs Wilson

Varsity girls lost to Wilson 47-32. (click a picture to go to the gallery)

Cierra Wise had 5 points and 15 rebounds.

Tried the slow shutter speed thing again...Caitlyn Ford makes a steal..

Jv Girls lost to Wilson 42-15, Renee Lucas scored 12 of those 15.

MCHS Girl’s Basketball vs Monticello

The varsity girls lost a close one to Monticello 32-29.  Rachel Strahan led the way with 7 points.

The story of the night was the JV girl’s come from behind win (they were down 20-10 at half time),  defeating Monticello 29-27, and picking up their first win of the season.  Renee Lucas led the way scoring 21 of Madison’s 29 points.  (With a little over 5 minutes left in the game, Madison had 21 points and Renee had scored 19 of those!)  With 3 minutes left in the game, and the score tied at 24, Chapat Tyree put in a big 3 pointer putting the JV Ladies up 27-24.

MCHS Boy’s Basketball vs Luray

Madison picked up their 7th win of the season defeating Luray 61-38.  Logan Terrell again led Madison scorers with 14 points and also pulled down 13 rebounds.

Jerel Carter had 6 points and 8 assists.

Matt Garr puts in 2 of his 9 points.

The JV boys won their second game of the season defeating Luray 43-29.  Silas Weaver led the way with 14 points followed by Luke Crouthamel with 11 points.

L.J. Ward put in this three pointer right at the buzzer to end the first half.
