STATE CHAMPIONS!!!!

Published by at 11:52 pm under basketball,State Championships

I took exactly 1830 photos today…seems most of them were of the celebration after the game…they’re online now, click any of the picture below the team photo to go to the gallery.  For a slideshow of my favorites from the game, click here. Here’s a link to ScrimmagePlay.com’s article on the game.  SP does a fantastic job of covering MC sports.  And, one more article on ScrimmagePlay.com. And a video of the post game celebration…

Congratulations to Madison’s boy’s basketball team for a perfect season, 26-0.  The only other basketball state championship for Madison was won in 1977…the year I graduated from MCHS.  Click the picture, you’ll get a bigger version, right click, click “save as desktop background”…so you don’t forget tonight for a while 🙂

The pictures are great – I have enjoyed looking at them over and over. I want to place an order for the “State Champions 2009-2010” picture book which I know will be coming. Thank you for the “show” in pictures.

Thanks for sharing, John! Our boys did an incredible job… all of Madison is so proud of them! I’m glad that you were able to make the special moments of the game “come to life”!

Thanks for the comments everyone. It was a great ride, I’m very lucky to be able to do what I do…and am very thankful for it. The fact that it’s been 33 years since our last basketball State Championship (and my wife and I were seniors at MCHS in 1977 when we won the last one) makes this one all the more special.

As for the book, yes, several have asked if I’m doing one…and I will. Just be patient, spring sports start this week, so I won’t get much of a break this year. But I will be starting on it in the next couple of weeks.

  5. […]  Also lists the busiest day, March 13, 2010.  Anyone have a guess as to what happened on March 12, 2010?? […]
