….and yeah, Sue and I made it all night.  But what she and I did pales in comparison to the work that other put in the make this possible.  LOTS of parents put in COUNTLESS HOURS planning, fund raising, decorating, etc. They really need some thanks for what they do!!!

Anyway, my part this year was to take pictures…not a big surprise there, eh?  I set up a little “photo booth” and we allowed kids, and whoever happened along, to take their own pictures. I also did a few candids throughout the night.  All of the photos below, and MANY more, will be available on a CD a little later in the week.  They’ll be on sale at lunchtime at MCHS for $2 each, with all proceeds going to support After Prom.  Be sure to pick up a copy!!

As each photo was taken, it was transferred to a laptop and then projected on the wall.  Dr. Tanner and her husband were kind enough to play along…

Occasionally, a hapless individual would wander through the set and have their photo taken….it’s a looooong night, we have to find ways to entertain ourselves!  🙂

This year’s theme was a “Novel” theme, so the decorations reflected that, with artwork representing Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland, and Twilight.

Madison varsity baseball lost to Manassas Park last night 1-0 in a lightning shortened game.

Another senior night…softball this time.  After walking the first batter, Jordan struck out the next three Manassas Park batters to go to the bottom of the first…and that’s where the fun started.  Madison led 12-0 before Manassas Park got the first out.  Chelsea Shifflett had a home run and a triple in the first inning…….the top of the order batted three times in the first inning…the score at the end of the first was 15-0 in Madison’s favor….I left at that point to go to baseball.  Madison would go on to win 22-0.

Madison’s girls soccer team picked up another win yesterday over Manassas Park…and I believe the final score was 7-1…but I left a bit early to head over to softball.  With Friday being the last day of home games for soccer, softball, and baseball, I was trying to get to as many “senior nights” as I could.  Madison’s varsity now has a overall record of 12-2-1 and is in third place in the Bull Run District with one regular season game to go.

Madison’s JV Girl’s soccer team also picked up a win yesterday defeating Manassas Park 2-0.  Katie Sorrell scored Madison’s second goal…don’t know who scored the first one, I got there too late to see it.

I took 790 pictures at Forensics???  Hmmm, must have been something interesting going on there….  In case you didn’t know, there are other State Champions in Madison.  Madison won their 16th Wachovia Cup in 17 years.  From the article:  “Madison County (255) dominated Group A finishing 152.5 points ahead of second-place Radford (102.5) for the Group A Cup.”
