MCHS Track & Field vs Clarke

Published by under clarke, mchs, track and field

Not to worry, Clare isn't behind...she almost lapped the field just before she finished.

Daniel Orange in the 200m (I think), liked the symmetry of the shot..

Was actually standing in the "wrong" spot for this one. I usually like for them to throw towards me, but saw Josh Page about to throw when shooting the women's long jump and liked the angle.

....like Jody Butler jumping 'over' Ms Campbell 🙂

I didn’t stay too long at this one, Madison was down 7-1 when I left, going into the bottom of the third.

MCHS Boy’s Soccer vs Strasburg

Published by under boys soccer,mchs,strasburg

Madison’s varsity boys picked up their first win of the season today defeating Strasburg 3-0.  First half goal by Nick Camillucci and second half goals by Matt Batman (of a Marcus Divers assist), and another by Camillucci.

Madison’s JV boys defeated Strasburg today 5-1.  I got there late and only saw the fifth Madison goal, by Tyler Kemp.

MCHS Girl’s Soccer vs George Mason

Published by under george mason, girls soccer, mchs

It’s never easy playing a team that has won the State Championship for the last three years….and I think it will be an upset if they don’t make it four in a row.  For the second time this season, Madison lost to the George Mason Mustangs 8-0.  Madison goes to 6-4 overall, and 4-2 in Bull Run District play.

A lot of this today, Sarah Strahan and Carrie Brown chasing down Leah Roth.

Hannah Walker and Kayla Compton.

Madison goalie Brittany Tasker made a nice stop on this Hannah Walker shot on goal (yes, I know the names of some of the Mason players, we played them like 4 times last year??)

Madison’s jv girls lost to George Mason today 1-0.  The JV girls have been doing pretty well this year.  They’re 7-2-1 after today’s loss, both of their losses were 1-0 to George Mason.

This was one of those games where they always seemed to be on the other end of the field.  I have that effect on games from time to time.  Where ever I go, they go to the other end.  It’s probably because I can’t resist posting pictures like the one below from time to time.  Gotta love those “soccer faces”.  Sorry..

MCHS JV Softball vs Manassas Park

Published by under manassas park,mchs,softball

I could have stayed at soccer a bit longer had I know Ozzie and Joe were going to be late.  They were evidently caught up in an extra inning baseball game that delayed their appearance.

Madison jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the first inning…and it stayed there through the bottom of the third when I left.  I was hoping to get there early to catch a little of that nice Waverly Yowell sunset light…but it was all gone by the time the umpires arrived.

Sam Atwell was mowing 'em down on the mound....lot's of K's....might have had a no-hitter going...at least I don't remember any hits...

Kaitlin Aylor slides safely into home.
