Conference 35 Wrestling
From MCHS Athletics:
Madison hosted the Conference 35 Wrestling Tournament today. Strasburg won the duals tournament going 4-0 on the day. The Mountaineers finished 3rd going 2-2.
Jalyn Simms (132), Zach Gibson (145), Gabe Farmer (170) and Eric Cashman (285) all were crowned Conference Champions for winning their respective weight classes.
Zach Waters (120), Dalton Dudley (152), Dalyn Montgomery (182) and Joseph Manuel (220) were all Conference Runner-Ups finishing 2nd in their respective weight classes.
Chase Berry (195) was also named All Conference for his 3rd place finish. Rodney Lewis (160) finished 4th.
All 10 wrestlers advance to the Region Tournament based on their top 4 finish in the Conference.
They will compete in the Region 2A East Tournament next Weekend at Wilson Memorial HS starting Friday at 3:00.
