…to Buckingham, 62-59 in the Boys Basketball Regional Quarter-Finals. Close game, and could have gone either way. I usually shoot the scoreboard from time to time during the game (always after each time we score) and I went ahead and put a few of the scoreboard photos online for those of you who weren’t there. Here’s a link to the Regional brackets from the VHSL website….in case you’re interested. It looks like Buckingham will play George Mason on Thursday.

Added 2-28-08: So the George Mason girls defeated Strasburg AT Strasburg???? Check the link above! WOW, that’s tough for Strasburg! I was expecting them to go a long way. Here’s a link to the story on NVDaily.com

And a quote from the story: “You can’t go 24-1, and then when you lose not feel like crap,” [senior forward Kalyn]Warner said. “And to know that they get to go further — I mean, they’re a good team — but to know that they get to go further than us and we beat them three times, it sucks. It’s the worst feeling ever.”

Added 2-29-08:  Clarke boys fall to Appomattox 59-50, story on NVDaily.com, and one in the Winchester Star
