BIG BIG GAME THURSDAY Night!!!

Published by under basketball

 GAME POSTPONED UNTIL THURSDAY NIGHT.

Our Madison boys basketball team plays two time defending Group A State Champion Clarke County on WEDNESDAY night (February 13). This is a BIG BIG game for us. Should we defeat Clarke, and Manassas Park and George Mason win their games, there will be a four-way tie for first place in the district. This game could mean a difference between a first place finish in the district and a fourth place finish for us.

YOU NEED TO BE THERE WEARING BLUE!!!

AND BRING YOUR LOUD VOICES!!!!!! 😮

With the win, Madison improves to 14-7 overall and 6-3 in the Bull Run District and sets up a showdown with Clarke County, the 2 time defending Group A State Champion. A nice sunrise…

Published by under landscape,rainbow

Looked out the window of the office at work one morning last week, noticed everything looked a little orange, so I went outside to see what was going on and saw this sunrise. I just happened to have my camera 🙂

After taking a few shots of the sunrise, I turned around and there was a rainbow!!

A good reason to always carry a camera!

A dunkin’ good time…

Published by under basketball,dunk

Madison got a big 75-57 win over Manassas Park tonight. Matt Garr led the way with 22 points, followed closely by Logan with 21. Jerel also put in 11, including a couple of dunks. I wasn’t positioned very well for either of them, but at least they are in focus! The cheerleaders also got in on the dunking action.  To see all the photos from the game, click on the “ENTER” button the right.

Girls vs Rapp Basketball, Senior Night

Published by under basketball,seniors

Night’s like that are fun. Everybody smiling and the seniors out there having a good time! And how about Katie Jo singing the National Anthem! That sounded SO good. The crowd shouting “22 22 22 ” for Julie…. If you stayed home, missed some good stuff!!!

From the MCHS Athletics website: “The Girls Varsity Basketball team beat Rappahannock tonight 38-15 on Senior Night. Madison was trailing 12-11 midway through the 3rd quarter when Jordan Aylor nailed a 3 pointer that sparked an 18-0 Mountaineer run and blew open what was a very close game. Aylor finished with a game high 8 points to lead all scorers. Essence Terrell and Erica Lewis both had 6 points each and Senior Julie Dugan, out with a knee injury all season, scored her first points of the year on a jumper late in the 4th quarter.”

Anyway, here are a few of my favorite photos from the night…
