MCHS Cross Country vs East Rockingham and Fluvanna

I set up a remote camera behind some weeds in the field next to the course.  I didn’t have it aimed quite right for the girl’s race, did a little better for the boy’s race.  Although, I was shooting somewhat into the sun, so I think I can do something better next time.  I got a few shots that I liked, a few are below.

From MCHS Athletics:  The MCHS Girls Cross Country team came in second place in our home tri-meet against Fluvanna High School and East Rockingham. Fluvanna’s team of 28 runners came in 1st place with 16 points, Madison County’s team of 14 runners came in 2nd place with 51 points, and East Rockingham’s team of 5 runners came in 3rd place with 76 points. The Madison girls did an amazing job! Our top seven girls, who scored, were: Katie Berry (23:09), Caitlin Shilan (24:17), Sam Camilletti (24:22), Alexa Waga (26:37), Ashley Sharp (26:58), Skyler Colvin (27:04), Kim Carpenter (27:14). The girls did an amazing job and worked hard on their race. Great job girls!

From MCHS Athletics:  The MCHS Boys Cross Country team came in second place in our home tri-meet against Fluvanna High School and East Rockingham. Fluvanna’s team of 14 runners came in 1st place with 27 points, Madison County’s team of 13 runners came in 2nd place with 46 points, and East Rockingham’s team of 7 runners came in 3rd place with 47 points. Madison boys did an amazing job and pushed hard the entire way. Our top seven boys, who scored, were: Daniel Comyn (19:42), Marcus Diver (20:04), Michael Piercy (20:09), Daneil Richards (20:23), Brandon Strayer (20:42), Drew Kelliher (20:53), and Anthony Smith (22:53). Their hard work and dedication to the race helped them score one point less than East Rockingham to take second place. Great job boys!
