Thursday night was senior night, and with a pregame arrangement between Coaches Breeden and Maynard, Bobby Ford was given the opportunity to score an uncontested layup to start the game, and get his name in the scorebook one last time. Bobby’s senior season was ended earlier in the year with a knee injury.

I’m a little slow getting these online, sorry about that. Anyway, Saturday was a good night. Madison’s varsity girls avenged an earlier season loss the Manassas Park, defeating the Cougars 42-23. The game was preceded by a retirement celebration for 36 year girl’s basketball coach Katherine Johnson. A number of basketball alumni came back to celebrate with Coach Johnson, including members of her first team in 1978.
