Madison defeated Central 4-0 this afternoon in the Quarter Finals of the Bull Run District Tournament. Lindsay Wheeler scored in the 26th minute to give Madison a 1-0 lead which held until the end of the first half. Wheeler scored again in the 43rd minute to give Madison a 2-0 lead. Colby Snow scored next for Madison on a free kick. And Sheridan Santinga scored with seconds to play off a Mary Margaret Gaylord corner kick for the final 4-0 score. 2012 was the 25th year of the Tour de Madison. Rides of 20, 41, and 62 miles were offered. I rode the 40 miler. The video below includes some on-bike video of the start, plus some still from throughout the ride. The ride started and ended at Graves Mountain Lodge. Post ride music was provided by Scuffletown and the Dark Hollow Bluegrass Band. There were 381 registered riders, which is a record number for the Tour.

It was the girl’s idea to do the poster in front of some old barns that I use for senior portraits…and I think it was a very good idea :-). Definitely says “Madison”.
ELEVEN seniors this year…Lindsay Wheeler, Leanna Coates, Carrie Brown, Brittany Tasker, Becca Aldridge, Anna Artale, Cameron Farmer, Kayla Compton, Rachel Crigler, Quinn Snow, and Colby Snow.

Another “Senior night”, Madison seniors Collin Tucker, Josh Honaker, and Travis Warren played their last regular season home game last night. Madison defeated Rappahannock 10-6, and will play at George Mason on Monday, at 5:00pm, in the Bull Run District Tournament Quarter Finals.

Madison varsity softball defeated Rappahannock 9-0 tonight on “Senior night.” It was the last, regular season, home game for three MCHS seniors: Casey Racer, Anna Kelliher, and Karri Carpenter.
Madison softball will play at home on Monday night, at 7:00pm in the Bull Run District Tournament Quarter Finals. Madison varsity girl’s soccer will also be home on Monday, playing at 5:00pm in the BRD Soccer Quarter Finals.
